c) Log Rushing
Review of footage:
Overall, I'm happy with how the footage has turned out. All shots are in focus and sharp, with good lighting to back up the quality. We did not need to reshoot anything as we all decided that we had good enough footage. The footage works well with the editing as it flows with the narrative of the story. On the first shoot day there is a clear difference in colour compared to the third shoot, as the camera we used has different settings on those days. This is fine, as we can colour correct in post-production. I am most pleased with the cinematography when the main characters are talking, as the camera tracks the performers well, with good framing.
Initial edit structure:
I plan to make the film look cold, dark and fast paced in the intense moments. I will do this by adding a tint effect to make the film look blue, and I will turn down the brightness on some scenes to make it darker. To make the short film look fast paced, I will focus on having the performers narrative flow between each other, as the dialogue is meant to be fast. I want the music to be subtle but at the same time loud enough to increase the tension of the scene, without being overwhelming to the audience.
Edit:
In my edit, I have used a lot of overlaid clips and sound effects to keep the flow of the shots. I have put different shots on different video tracks to keep the edit organised. The audio and sound effects are carefully placed, with lots of subtle sound effects too. I did this as it made the film feel more realistic and made the overall edit more detailed. At the beginning, the clips are all together as it is slow paced at the start, with the text overlay to introduce the short film. Then as more characters are introduced and the overall film gets more suspensful, the clips are moved around to help me add different effects and to carefully place the shots. The music is played throughout the entire edit under the dialogue and sound effects to add more suspense and tension. I made the music fade out at the end.

The music is played throughout the entire edit under the dialogue and sound effects to add more suspense and tension. I made the music fade out at the end.
